The PVC Coloro ball valve, Type 355, 1/2" through 2", shall have either solventsocket or NPT threaded pipe connectionswith double true union ends. Thevalve shall have a two-piece body,permanently fused around the integralball and stem. The valve shall have low,uniform torque to complement factorypreadjusted performance specifications.Construction prevents user ability todisassemble or adjust. The stem shallindicate valve position if handle isremoved. Handles are available in fivecolors for color-coding capabilities ofhandling different fluids. Material shallmeet or exceed the requirements of12454-B according to the classificationsand requirements of ASTM D 1784.Socket end connections are suitable forIPS pipe. Threaded pipe connectionsshall be in accordance with ASTM D2464 which references ANSI B1.20.1(was B2.1) for tapered pipe threads. Thevalve, Type 354, shall have PTFE ballseats with EPDM or FPM seals.
