Weld-On® P-75 Wet 'R Dry™ Low VOC PVC Primer, Non-Bodied, Very Fast Acting, Aqua Blue, Pint

Schedule 40 PVC corrosion resistant pressure pipe, IPS sizes 1/8-24, is ideal for use in applications with temperatures up to and including 140 degrees F. Pressure rating (120 psi to 230 psi) varies with pipe size and temperature. It is generally resistant to most acids, bases, salts, aliphatic solutions, oxidants, and halogens. Chemical resistance data is available and should be referenced for proper material. Schedule 40 PVC pipe exhibits excellent physical properties and flammability characteristics. Typical applications include: chemical processing, plating, high-purity applications, potable water systems, water and wastewater treatment, irrigation and agriculture along with many other industrial applications involving corrosive fluid transfer. Schedule 40 pipe is not recommended for threading or grooving. If threading is required for the application, solvent-cemented male or female adapters should be utilized. If grooving is required, solvent-cemented grooved adapters are available in limited sizes.Do not test or use PVC piping for air or compressed gasses. Care should be taken to avoid ketones, chlorinated hydrocarbon, and aromatic solvents.

PVC is the most commonly used plastic material for manufacturing plastic pipe. It has a relatively high tensile strength and module of elasticity. These features make it stronger and more rigid than most other thermoplastics. It is also resistant to most acids, bases, salts, aliphatic solutions, oxidants and halogens. The joining methods for PVC are by solvent cementing, threading (Schedule 80 ONLY) or flanging. PVC has been used successfully in industries such as chemical processing, industrial planting, chilled water distribution, salt water, chemical drainage, irrigation systems and other industrial applications with corrosive fluid transfer. The pressure rating systems given are for solvent-cemented systems. When adding valves, flanges or other components, the system must be de-rated to the rating of the lowest component: threaded fittings are rated at 50% of solvent-cement systems; flanged fittings are rated at 150 psi; union fittings are rated at 235 psi. Weld-On® 725 Wet 'R Dry™ is an aqua blue, low VOC emission, medium bodied, extremely fast setting, high strength PVC solvent cement for all classes and schedules of pipe and fittings with interference fit through 6" in diameter, Schedule 80 through 4" in diameter. 725 Wet 'R Dry™ is specially formulated for applications where conditions are wet and/or quick pressurization is desired. It was developed to answer specific needs in irrigation, plumbing, and/or pool & spa applications. Can be used without primer on non-pressure systems if local codes permit. 725 Wet 'R Dry™ is available in 1/4 pint, 1/2 pint, pint, quart and gallon metal cans. LEED compliant, meets ASTM D 2564 standard and SCAQMD rule 1168/316A . Product has a shelf life of three years in a tightly sealed container.
