When vibration and/or pulsation are present, the glycerin fill dampens the bourdon tube and minimizes pointer oscillation, which reduces wear on the gauge movement. Model 213.40 is available in 2-1/2" and 4" sizes, in either 1/4" or 1/2" NPT Copper Alloy connections and is weather tight (NEMA 4X / IP 66).
