The Georg Fischer type 586 pressure retaining valve maintains a predetermined pressure value upstream of the valve, essential when equipment such as spray nozzles require a minimum amount of pressure to operate properly. The valve does not have exterior bolts that require re-torqueing and has a fully molded body which eliminates inconsistencies found with machined bodies.

Type 586 is available in 1/2" through 2" sizes with PVC, CPVC, PP or PVDF bodies. 3/8" is available in PVC only. Diaphragms are PTFE/EPDM with a 304 stainless steel diaphragm plate and seals are either EPDM or FPM. Optional gauges and gauge guards are available upon request.
